InsideTheWalls

Today July 25, 2010 was a very special day. When I first went to Franklin Correctional over a year and a half ago I met this guy named Eddie Watkins. I never knew him except by Ed, Eddie, or Watkins but I found out today that his first name is Bernard. Bernard was guest speaker at Pastor Julie Stephens, First Methodist Church of Carrabelle.

Out at the Chapel at FCI Eddie had a favorite place to stand and even though someone stands in his place now, it seems empty without him. We always called Eddie "Preacher" and said that he would preach to anything that would stand still for 10 seconds. I know from seeing him today that God will continue to use him in a mighty-mighty way. I plan next to see him at the P4TH conference at Panama City on July 30-31.

After the service we had dinner at the fellowship hall and it was some awesome food. I do not know why they call it a covered dish dinner because it does not stay covered long, especially when there are Pastors, preachers, and Chaplains around LOL.

Please keep Eddie in your prayers as he still has issues to confront but I believe that God will use him to be a blessing to many.

God Bless You, Chaplain Danny

On Friday July 30, 2010 I traveled to Panama City, FL and visited Living Word Fellowship Church for the 2nd annual P4TH (Prepare for the Harvest) Conference and it was a blessed and moving experience. Living Word Fellowship is the home church of Chaplain Greg Faulkenberry and it certainly is an example of what an IMPACT church should be. Not to mention that I was blessed to meet 3 generations of the Faulkenberry family, they are an awesome family. The pastor, Hayward Miller, the Praise and Worship team and everyone were wonderful and I thank you for hosting the event. I look forward to next year.

The conference started actually on Friday night with Praise and Worship, and wow, the Holy Spirit was wonderfully present, Praise God! Then we had an opportunity to hear the amazing testimony of Mr. Ken Cooper (The gentleman Bank Robber), you can read his testimony in his book “Held Hostage”. I recommend it. On Saturday there were several presentations by guests including:

01.) Standing On Shoulders - Developing Leaders - Dr. Hayward Miller

02.) Transitional Housing - Bob and Mary Rumbley

03.) Excellent Communication - Tim Gagnon

04.) Prison 101- Doug Gingrich

05.) Ken Cooper - General Session

06.) Conference Lunch Break

07.) I Need A Hero - Debbie Walsh

08.) Change 1 - 4 Christ (Mentoring)

09.) Ministry Promotion Technology - Greg Faulkenberry and Kim Kirchoff

10.) Q and A Sessions

11.) Prayer and Door Prizes

The Door Prize was a PA System and Wireless Microphone that is especially suited for the Ministers to take into the prison system. When they started preparing for awarding it they asked Danny to carry it to the stage, then they asked Dan to draw for the prize, and finally they drew. the thing was there were only 3 tickets and one was mine (the 3rd Dan). I had made a decision with the help of the Holy Spirit that if I won it I would allow us to have a draw-off between the other 2 entrants. I won it and in the draw-off Mr. and Mrs. Webb won it. Then Dr. Miller announced that they would also give the prize to Isaac Williams ministry as well. Isn’t God Good!!!????

I stayed the night and went to church at Living Word Sunday morning, returned home Sunday afternoon. It's always good to visit but home, Gloria, and pets are such a blessing to return home to. Thank You Jesus!

Today on Sept 27, 2010.
We graduated the 3rd Semester of Re-Entry Classes at Franklin Correctional Institute.
We awarded a total of 105 Certificates.
Some were Multiple Certificates so I am breaking them down by Classes.

(28) Anger Management
(10) Marriage Class
(21) Parenting Class
(12) New Believer's Class
 (19) Spanish New Believers
 (04) Life Dynamics
 (11) Faith & Finance

The bibles, books, devotionals, tracts, DVD's, CD's, and other materials that are donated by Kenneth Copeland Ministries is invaluable and a Rich Blessing. In Addition we have donated several copies of the hardback "Faith to Faith Devotionals" to staff. We can truly see a revival taking place on the compound.

May God Richly Bless you and all the partners for helping support us at Franklin Correctional Institute, Carrabelle, Florida, and Sr. Chaplain, Greg Faulkenberry.

Thank You, Chaplain Dan Husk
