Brandon's Graduation Sunday May 29, 2005

United State's Army here he comes.

A note from Brandon's mother Melissa (Lowther) Waites

Brandon leaves for Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri August 11th. He will be there for 22 weeks until his 19th birthday almost exactly.  He gets out of there on January 20th and turns 19 on the 21st.  He gets to come home for 2 weeks until he gets his orders on where he is going.  He signed as a military police.  I am very proud that you are going to add him to your page. I pray that things go well for him and he is kept safe. He is so lucky to have family like you to keep him in your prayers as well.  We will certainly keep any information coming for you to keep up with what's going on with him.

Mother and Son, What a GREAT DAY!

Here are some picture's from Sunday. We had a great day. I love him so much. I love the web page. Love Melissa

Pvt. Brandon Scott Zelma August, 2005 - Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri - Boot Camp where he is to graduate the end of October. Brandon is expected to  come home for Christmas and then will graduate AIT in January.

Update: June 29, 2006 from his mother Melissa; PFC Brandon is in Lawton Oklahoma at Fort Sill doing very well. He still thinks the army is great and enjoys it a lot. It has been almost a year now and I am getting a little better at missing him, but it's still hard.  I got to see him the end of  this past May.  I went down to visit and it helps a lot knowing what it's like where he is at. Fort sill is right along the Wichita Mountains and has nice lakes, wildlife etc. and with Brandon being the outdoorsman that he is, he really likes it.  I am glad that it gives him something to do that is close by. Not that he has much if any free time.  He works a lot of hours, but he says that is part of being a soldier.

In a note from Brandon's mother dated Monday, October 08, 2007 she said that "Specialist Brandon Zelma is stationed at Guantanamo Bay Cuba" and that "He is doing good and send his love to all".
