The poodle is a breed of dog, and is regarded as the second most intelligent breed of dog after the border collie, and before the German Shepherd. The poodle breed is found officially in toy, miniature, and standard sizes, with many coat colors. Originally bred as a type of water dog, the poodle is skillful in many dog sports, including agility, obedience, tracking, and even herding. Poodles are elegant in the conformation ring, having taken top honors in many shows, including "Best in Show" at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 1991 and 2002, and at the World Dog Show in 2007 and 2010.

Critter 5 months old.

Critters was born 6/29/1995 he took up with Skippers stuffed dog at first when we got him. The first five months of life he spent in the back yard of the people we got him from, with his mother. He never had much if any handling or love.

As a matter of fact when I called the lady to see if she had any puppies left she only had the one and thought it was a girl. I told her to bring her with them the next time they came down to the RV Park. Later that evening she called and said it was male and did I still want him, "sure I did" I told her.

He never knew what it was like to he held, loved and cuddled by a human, not even us that much. BUT! he was a little tag along buddy, he was ALWAYS THERE by your side the ever faithful little companion.

It seemed as if Critter picked his own grave marker on 8/25/2010 then on 8/27/2010 one of the cancer knots on his back broke open I cleaned and put save on it. At the time I thought if he didn't pass away by Monday I would take him to the vet.

Monday 8/30/2010 I got up about 4 AM and he had gotten off of his big soft comforter and went over by the couch, he was still with us. I got a pillow and laid down on the couch by him as he looked up at me.

He had made a mess loosing himself all over the living room. While trying to clean it up and bath him my husband Danny called the vet and later that day we took him to East Point to

Dr. Hobson Fulmer at the "Apalachicola Bay Animal Clinic" http://www.abac.vetsuite.com/Templates/Clean.aspx

At that point he gave him a shot which put him to sleep in Doggie Heaven 8/30/2010. They took him to the back and wrapped him up like a Little Mummy and laid him back in his bed that we had taken him there in and brought him out to the car to us.

We brought him home and I buried him with his little Pink & White Teddy, the one toy out of many he ended up loving the best of all his whole life.

It has been so hard to write this about Critter, I miss him so much, sixteen years of always being there and now not! It's so hard! I loved my little Critter but it was time to go home!

I PRAY he is having a GREAT TIME IN HEAVEN!

This may be his resting place here on earth but I know he is in Heaven!

Dear Critter,

I never thought I would have to write this letter. Mommy and I are both so sad right now, we hope you will forgive us for taking you to the vet. It was just too painful to keep watching you little Buddy. Mommy misses you more because she kind of felt that you were her little baby. When she brought you home today she would not let me help her put you in your final resting place. I hope you like it you can watch me go to work when I go and maybe you can spot the bears on occasion or the kids next door.

CJ of course knows you are gone and this evening Mommy cried when he went through the house and outside and she was sure that he was looking for you. I expect that will go on for a bit. Aunt Sandy was also very sad when she heard that you had gone on.

Well, little Buddy. God has not told me where our little pets go when they leave, but I do not believe that he would give us such a gift and when we leave this earth not make provision for us to see each other again. I figure that when we see other it will be like we were never apart.

Some of the things I will miss the most are when we all used to walk on the beach together and especially when you and CJ would chase and dig for the crabs. I will miss the walks through the park and when you rode on the pontoon and you would sit up on the console and your ears just flapped in the breeze ha ha, that was so cute and also you would watch and bark at the dolphins.

Oh and please forgive me Little Buddy for the time that I hit you on the head with the pine cone on the beach when you would chase them, that always bothered me.

I Love You Little Buddy and will see you. Oh and whoever is in charge there make sure that they know on occasion that you like a cookie or a Tic Tac.

We Will Miss You, Dad and Mom and CJ
