"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANNY"

WELL! Folks today was Danny's birthday and THANK GOD he was still here to celebrate it. Floyd & Karin came back over this morning and stayed for quite a while before moving on to Jacksonville. It turned out to be a real nice visit for us all and we are quite thankful for the gift's that they gave us.

1. Danny is resting in a beautiful shirt that Floyd bought for him for their sister Barb, who is in West Virginia fighting cancer. The others are Danny playing his Gospel CD's on his laptop.

Danny has really had a long and good day, he called and said he had just taken a shower and is chilling out for the evening. Tomorrow he has to start his exercises again by taking.

While writing this Danny called again crying like a baby, "WHY" because I had sent each page of his web updates and prayers to myself in e-mail's and saved them to a disk and gave it to him for his birthday, because he is unable to get on line yet. Also today Danny & I went out to the car and sat listening to a favorite tape and were both crying like a baby. THANKS to GOD and that tape it helped me to get through some of the WORST TIMES in my life while he has been in the hospital.

The one song on that tape that got to me the worst was "When It's Time To Go - by: 4 Him" I didn't know it till we got in the car and Danny showed me the tape case, he had circled the name of the song and wrote "I LOVE YOU" on it. The words below:

When It's Time To Go - by: 4 Him

Nothing new in this old town
The sun comes up and heads back down
Working hard from dawn to dusk again
Seventeen and a heart for a change
The byways calling out his name
But not yet
There's too much goin' on
'Cause daddy needs a hand and mama's
Tender heart might crumble to the ground
Though they'd understand
He felt like saying

(CHROUS)
When it's time to go
You've got to let me go away and face the world
Say goodbye, say goodbye
Cry some tears, don't worry
When I hit the city I'll build you a house right down the street from mine
Have some faith in me and I'll show you why

Some years later lare one night
He came in tryin; to dry his eyes
He realized what he was born to do
He said I'll always be your son
And I know you know what's goin' on
It's the hardest thing to think of leavin' you
But this world needs a hand and I've got
Just the thing they need to make it through
It's so clear to me though I know what's coming

(CHROUS)
When it's time to go
You've got to let me go away and face the world
Say goodbye, say goodbye
Cry some tears, don't worry
When I hit the city I'll build you a house right down the street from mine
Have some faith in me and I'll show you why

And as they tore His flesh like animals
There were those I know who felt Him say
When it's time to go
You've got to let me go away and save the world
Say goodbye, say goodbye
Cry some tears, don't worry
When I hit the city I'll build you a house right down the street from mine
Oh, have some faith in me and I'll show you why

Danny is on a roll today, he just called again about the little old guy in the other bed is still having a bad time as he was today when I was there, so Danny went over and asked if he could have prayer with him.  God has really been GREAT TO US ALL!! and still has a JOB FOR DANNY TO DO!!

Sunday April 25, 2004

Good Morning All, Danny is in GREAT SPIRIT'S this morning. He call to say good morning and see how my day was starting. Then called to say he had been calling some of the family. Then to give a report that his blood pressure was 90/45 and that he was going for therapy. I tell you what that guy has been known to burn up a phone line or airway!

Danny had gone to church at rehab this morning and as a witness to how GOD WORKS he asked me to add the fact that:

It just so happened that we were given a gift by Vic & Judy of the Good News Ministries on the 22nd.. Which covered the cost of the tires the next evening "GODS  WORK IN PROGRESS" he new I needed new tires and so did I but I wouldn't buy them until pushed to it. Danny didn't know of the gift till his birthday then I showed it to him.

Danny has been trying to get his computer on line at the hospital with his cell phone with no luck. Mike came by to see him for a while and had no luck in helping him either. It was always Danny helping others and now due to the loss of time and it seems partial memory, he is going to have to learn it all over again unless his brain will rejuvenate itself and it will all come back in time.

When I talk to him and he is writing down something he adds, leaves out, or switcher numbers or letters, it is so frustrating for him. I told him to pack the computer back in the bag and give it a rest because when he gets like that he starts to tremble and shake. He just needs to take things a little slower and let it come back naturally, but he has always been one that wants what he wants right now and hates to wait on things and will like pay for second day air rather than wait a few days.

Danny just called to say good night, and he was sounding a little confused, like saying that he was not given breakfast for three days and that he had to go to the cafeteria to find his tray, I know better than that, the meals are served in the room. I think what he really meant was that they are late getting his tray to him because he had changed rooms the other day. I also think they gave him a pill again that may distort his thinking.

I just got back from seeing Danny and he was doing about the same as yesterday. He gave up on the computer and had me bring it home. I left him my CD player so he could listen to his Gospel CD's. He needed to have things not so complicated.

Danny called me on the cell phone thinking I might be near the Bay area and could tell him how it looked.
